Hey everyone, my name is Ben Lopez, and I’m a nerd-type in just about every sense of the word, with the exception of owning a pair of suspenders, or any sort of decent programming knowledge. I can talk about obscure Japanese VHS tapes and old books you’ve never heard of all afternoon, but couldn’t tell you what’s playing on primetime TV these days. I enjoy a good round of tennis, but I can rarely find a challenger these days…which is good, because with so few matches played each year, my skills are about awful at this point.
Writing of any kind has always been one of my greatest passions. As of late, I’ve been doing quite a bit of freelance writing, and do a weekly report for a popular sports website. I am incredibly grateful to have such a loyal readerbase on Google News; these folks are truly the greatest, and I am indebted to their generosity and encouragement.
But overall, I do a little of everything, so I’d probably put you all to sleep by listing the various kooky ways I make a living. A huge list of links would make the place seem a little sleazy anyway. This blog is a place for us to educate and encourage each other, not for me to have a big “check out my other businesses!” banner.:-)
